The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Warriors Group
Since the launch of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a colorful mix of characters, and a exciting storyline featuring celestial beings, fiends, and dark forces increasing in power within Dol-Makjar.
Heads-up: Spoilers for the third episode of Campaign 4 follow below.
The Soldiers Table Revealed
Episode 3 ended with a dramatic pause and introduced the first table of adventurers who will branch out from the main group to embark on their separate journey, apart from the other two tables.
The combat-focused team features Teor (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).
The Reason for Division
Given 13 cast members, it was obvious from the beginning that maintaining everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Overture, connecting the characters’ stories before splitting into three smaller tables: Fighters, Planners, and Explorers.
Characteristics of the Warrior Group
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for players who are drawn to a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven narrative style where non-violent answers are rare.
Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might seem unsuited, but the developments of the third episode make it clear why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the group has a clear idea where to go next after a intense first encounter with the antagonists.
Casimir of Thjazi—whose death started the campaign’s events—manipulated the enemy for his selfish purposes, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the character, and swiping all the magical artifacts to auction.
The traitor then settled his obligations and escaped to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.
Personal Motivations
Additionally, each character has a individual motive to exit the metropolitan area:
- The agile hero, as the companion and best friend, seeks vengeance.
- The adventurer is familiar with the northern area and advises that it is a nasty location.
- The strong character and The healer, having defied his relatives’ demands to kill the target and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
- Yet, their reputation as prominent individuals in the powerful family could enable the team access locations they normally couldn’t.
- Furthermore, Teor vowed a life debt to Wicander for his deliverance and will now accompany him anywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
In addition, all of them are wanted by the powers that control Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making staying in the city no longer safe:
- The agile adventurer and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
- The warrior and Wicander defied House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
- The fighter is wanted dead by the family.
This leaves them little choice but to head to Timmony in quest for the traitor.
Future Episodes
According to the latest episode’s post-show segment, we discover that the combat party will be absent the following episode, leaving the rest of the cast members to assemble the Seekers and Planners tables.
Fans can expect discovering which adventurers will be in which group in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, released on next week.
