I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
